ALABAMA FC BOYS ECNL RISING STAR CALLED INTO NIGERIA UNDER-17 CAMP AHEAD OF AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS

April 2, 2019 (RICHMOND, VA) – Alabama FC 02 Boys ECNL player Patrick “DIBA” Nwegbo was recently called up for Nigeria Under-17 National Team Camp.  Nigeria is set to commence play in the Africa Cup of Nations this month, starting off their run against the host nation, Tanzania, on Sunday, April 14.

Diba, who presented himself as one of the brightest talents in the league this past summer as a participant in the first-ever Boys ECNL National Camp in the Bahamas, has been competing for a coveted spot with the Golden Eaglets for the 13th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.  The top four teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
