BOYS ECNL WITH CHAMPIONSHIP SWEEP AT UNDER-14, 15, 16, AND 17 ENPL FINALS IN COLORADO

The 2019 ENPL Finals concluded on Monday in Commerce City, Colorado, with four Boys ECNL sides crowned as ENPL Champions over the course of an intense five-day event at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.  

While Eclipse Select SC (Boys ECNL Midwest Conference) hoisted the Under-14 ENPL Cup on Friday following a two-day ‘final four’ event at that age, the Under-15, Under-16, and Under-17 champions took to the stage on Monday, concluding a full group stage and knockout round series that saw TSC Hurricane (Boys ECNL Texas Conference), PDA (Boys ECNL Northeast Conference), and Beach FC (Boys ECNL Southwest Conference) as winners, respectively. 

“The quality on display throughout the Finals was very high, making for an incredible environment at one of the country’s most impressive facilities,” said Boys ECNL commissioner Jason Kutney.  

The ENPL Finals in Colorado marked the conclusion of the 2018-2019 season, bringing together top performing Boys ECNL sides with those from US Club’s National Premier Leagues (NPL).  From the 192 total combined Boys ECNL and NPL teams that competed across these four age groups in Rockford, IL at the ENPL Playoffs, just 28 advanced to Colorado in the U14 – U17 ages.  

The Under-18/19 single-leg playoff event, which took place in Rockford, IL at the ENPL Playoffs, saw Concorde Fire ECNL fall to NEP NPL powerhouse NEFC Red.  In the end, the Boys ECNL filled seven of the ten spots in the 2019 ENPL Finals matches from U14 to U18/19, and raised four ENPL Championship cups.  

“We are extremely proud of all the teams that qualified for the ENPL Playoffs, and a big congratulations is due to those clubs that were crowned Champions,” continued Kutney.  “I want to thank everyone at US Club Soccer for successfully managing the ENPL events.”

Champion:  Eclipse Select SC

Runner Up:  CenCal Cosmos (NorCal NPL)

Under-15: 

Champion:  TSC Hurricane

Runner Up:  Eclipse Select SC

Under-16:  

Champion:  PDA

Runner Up:  Napa Soccer Academy (NorCal NPL)

Under-17:  

Champion:  Beach FC

Runner Up:  GSA 

Under-18/19 (from ENPL Playoffs in Rockford, IL):

Champion:  NEFC Red NPL (NEP NPL)

Runner Up:  Concorde Fire
