ECNL Launches Online Coaching Education Scholarship Program
RICHMOND, VA (April 1, 2020) – In an effort to provide access to coaching education during the current pause in play, the Elite Clubs National League Boys announced today the launch of the ECNL Online Coaching Education Scholarship Program. The Scholarship Program is a new resource being made available for ECNL Boys players (past and present) and coaches, representing an investment in individuals who are interested in improving.
The ECNL Online Coaching Education Scholarship Program is part of the ECNL’s mission to be More Than A League, and an effort to support constant learning, development, and improvement in coaching and in the youth experience. Qualifying individuals are encouraged to participate in an online course of their choice, designed to improve knowledge of the game and further coaching skills.
“Even when sport is suspended, we can still work to improve ourselves as leaders and as coaches,” said ECNL Boys Commissioner Jason Kutney. “We are committed to seeing the game continue to improve at all levels, and this will come from education on and off the field. This program further supports that commitment.”
The ECNL Online Coaching Education Scholarship Program will provide scholarships for eligible and accepted individuals to take one of US Soccer’s Grassroots Online Courses (4v4, 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11 online courses), or one of the many online courses offered by United Soccer Coaches in their eLearning Platform.

Successful applicants will be informed of their scholarship award by the ECNL. Any accepted applicants will be reimbursed the cost of registration for the course upon proof of completion of the course.
