ECNL BOYS RETURNS TO ST. LOUIS FOR 2022 NATIONAL FINALS
-2022 ECNL Boys National Finals will be biggest championship event in league history-
RICHMOND, VA (April 14, 2022) – ECNL Boys is thrilled to announce that the league will be returning to St. Louis for its 2022 National Finals following an incredibly successful inaugural ECNL Boys National Championship event in 2021. In 2022, the ECNL Boys National Finals will be held at Creve Coeur Soccer Complex.
“St. Louis is a historic soccer city and we are excited to once again present the ECNL Boys National Finals on such a great American soccer stage,” said ECNL Boys Commissioner Jason Kutney. “Last year’s Finals exceeded our expectations, with incredible matches throughout the tournament, culminating with our league’s top teams raising the first-ever ECNL National Championship trophies. With an expanded postseason this summer, we anticipate even better competition and even more talent on stage.”
For the 2021-22 season, more than 330 teams across the U13-U19 age groups will qualify for the ECNL Boys National Playoffs, which will take place in San Diego, CA. Following a three-game group stage, qualifying teams will enter into a 16-team knockout bracket. The Round of 16 will take place in San Diego, with the advancing eight teams traveling to St. Louis for the ECNL Boys National Finals.
Creve Coeur Soccer Complex first opened in 2018 and became a premier soccer destination within the St. Louis area. The complex features 13 turf fields, all with lighting, a grass pitch, and a championship field complete with stadium seating for hundreds of spectators. Since its opening, Creve Coeur Soccer Complex has welcomed more than 1 million guests annually, and has hosted events for the USL, NCAA, US Club Soccer and more.
