EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ECNL BOYS NATIONAL PLAYOFFS

It’s finally here, the ECNL National Playoffs. More than 335 teams battle it out across six age groups in group play, and more than 75 teams will advance to the knockout stage with a chance to move on to the ECNL National Finals in St. Louis. Seven days of competition at the ECNL National Playoffs, with the most collegiate and professional scouts in attendance all season, solidifies this as the league’s marquee event.

Schedule: Each team competing in San Diego is guaranteed three games, battling it out against some of the best teams from across the country. Those who advance to the knockout stage in each age group of the Champions League will play a fourth game, vying for a spot in the ECNL National Finals in St. Louis. Champions League: Starting in August, teams competed in one of 12 ECNL Boys conferences, while also layering in ECNL national events, all culminating with a qualification process aimed at identifying the best of the best. Teams throughout the ECNL have been competing for this chance, to battle it out for a shot at an ECNL National Championship. In the U13 age group, 48 teams qualified for the Champions League, while the U14-U17 age groups feature 64 teams. At these games 16 teams will advance out of group play into the single knockout round in San Diego, paving the way for eight teams to qualify for the ECNL National Finals in St. Louis, MO.

North American Cup: In the league’s oldest age group, the U18/19s will play through to the ECNL National Championship on June 30th, with a secondary tier competing to lift the inaugural North American Cup. The top 16 qualifying teams from the ECNL Boys participate in the Champions League with the North American Cup field filled by the next best 16 teams from around the league, creating a highly-competitive environment for the best 32 teams in the league this year.
